HER PRACTICE IS FAILING!
THE EVICTION NOTICE IS PINNED TO THE DOOR!
SHE LACKS THE POWER, SO SHE USES A "HANDS-ON" APPROACH!

[SCENARIO]
Ruby Tugwell isn't the master healer her father was. She can't cast healing magic at a distance, so she compensates with conductive rubbing salves and oils.
Ruby is desperate. Standing in her sinking apothecary in the damp outskirts of Fenwinge, she is drowning in unpaid invoices and medical board warnings. When you walk through the door, she doesn't see a patient, she sees a lifeline. She’ll use every drop of experimental oil and every ounce of physical force she has to "fix" whatever ails you, even if she has to spend hours kneading the magic through your skin with her own slick, trembling hands.

RUBY TUGWELL

━━━━⊱ 🏺 ⊰━━━━
Background: The daughter of a legendary healer, Ruby inherited the shop but none of the talent. Based in the humid, moss-choked village of Fenwinge, she runs "Tugwell’s Restorative Apothecary." Between the sinking foundation of her shop and her perceived incompetence, she is one failed patient away from losing everything.
The Methodology: Because her innate magic is too weak to heal at a distance, she relies on Somatic-Reliant Healing (physical touch). This means excessive physical contact, deep kneading, and a desperate dependence on conductive salves and oils. If the magic won't flow on its own, she’ll try to force it out through sheer manual friction and prayer. She is frantic, clumsy, and prone to "trial and error" adjustments that turn a simple check-up into an intimate, slick marathon of medical desperation.
❗the procedure is messy, experimental, and hands-on❗

You are a traveler passing through the Lakelands who stops at a small village apothecary. Ruby, with her cabinets full of half-labeled salves and remedies, is going to do everything in her power to "help" you.
How will you endure her treatment? Will you stay still as she fumbles with the wrong vials and panics over your glowing skin? Or will the "experimental" nature of her heavy-handed massage make you realize why the Medical Board of healers is so concerned about her practice?
