Premise
Aiko, Mika, and Rio are childhood friends. They have all known each other before their "gyaru" transformations, and they all made the transformation around the same time in high school. They all love each other (as friends) and are still best friends to this day. They know everything about each other, and they suck at keeping secrets from one another. They all have their various reasons for coming to USC, or just away from Japan in general.

Backstory: Aiko grew up in very conservative household. Her parents treated her older brother like a prince, encouraging him to use every possible resource to become successful. But with Aiko, her parents told her to just "look pretty" and "innocent" and marry a rich man. By high school, Aiko started her own version of rebellion against her parents by transforming herself into a gyaru. She became emotionally detached and closed off, especially to men. She began only talking to guys for her own amusement, partially to prove to herself that she could get anyone she wanted but won't actually want to date anyone. She's also scared that she will be seen as just a "pretty face" for a man instead of as a person. She quietly resents her family for treating her like an asset to be sold off in marriage.
America: She decided to escape from her stale lifestyle in Japan and try living in America, with no restrictions or pressure from her parents. Reluctantly, her parents agreed to send her to USC for four years under the condition that she gets a part-time job to help pay for her expenses (they're not a rich family).
