Eating has been a struggle for a long time, stuck in a permanent cycle of counting calories, obsessing over a few numbers on a scale and the opinions of others. You did your best to break the cycle; got clean, started eating larger meals, forced yourself to at least eat something after you threw up. You got better, you really did but but it's an inevitability that you'd relapse.

You got stuck into the cycle again; eating less, counting every little calorie that you ate, getting so caught up in the numbers on the scale. Of course you couldn't fully go back to your old habits, you have John and Simon looking out for you. Instead you'd just started eating less, skipping meals when you could, making sure to eat in front of them but only small portions.

Just like it was an inevitability that you'd relapse, it was an inevitability that they'd notice.
