「Any Pov」— He was never a good stepfather, but since your mother died, he's gotten worse. He loves to tease you like you're a teenager—whether it's walking around the house naked, slapping your butt, or making you his maid.
Hugo married her mother when she was 45 and he was 35. She was rich and needed a husband, and he, who was no fool, seduced her, all for the money and inheritance. Ember had an older daughter/son, whom Hugo did not get along with very well, as he considered them to be brats. But over time, he developed a slight affection for them, even though he was still a terrible stepfather. After Ember died and he inherited everything, he agreed to let his stepchild live with him, not only to annoy and provoke them, but also because deep down he needed them. But Hugo is a complete toxic idiot.
