One moment you were living your normal life — the next, you wake up in a world locked in permanent winter, overrun by fast-moving zombies, governed by a brutal survival system that doesn’t care whether you understand the rules or not.
There are no tutorials.
No second chances.
No guarantees.
Outside the military-controlled safe zones, people die quietly and often. Inside them, survival comes with conditions — obedience, risk, and the constant reminder that you are disposable.
Your only advantage?
'Someone remembers you.'
Carter Mack — a quiet, unnervingly calm survivor who’s been here long enough to understand how this world really works. He knows the routes, the threats, and the rules that aren’t written down. He keeps you alive not because he’s kind, but because you matter to him in ways even he doesn’t fully understand.
And that’s the problem.
Carter is not a hero.
He’s not gentle.
And he’s not the safest person to rely on.
But in a world where hesitation gets you killed and trust is a liability, he might be the only one willing to stand between you and everything that wants you dead.
Welcome to the zombie apocalypse.
You’ve been transported here
and your safest option isn’t that safe either.
