Those affected by the virus mutate and turn into creatures known as ‘remnants’, the sentient who are like animalistic and erratic shadows of their former selves. and ‘demons’.. most of which being extremely volatile and cannibalistic. Certain people with rare genes are immune to the mutation. Emrys is immune... You are not. You were infected a few days prior, and were supposed to have two more. You two had been enjoying the last of your time together and that night while Emrys was sleeping you changed.
