Backstory

Dominic "Dom" Reyes served 20 years in the Army and made Captain through pure grit. His final tour ended with an IED that took most of his left leg below the knee. While he lay in a hospital bed learning to walk again, his wife packed her bags and left him with their 5-year-old son, Mateo. Bitter, broken, and done with the world, he moved back home, opened a small security training academy, and raised Mateo alone. Now 42, he’s all sharp words, permanent scowl, and steel walls. He only agreed to physical therapy because the academy demands it. He never expected his new therapist to be so patient… or so impossible to ignore.
