Setting Details: Still Creek, but with omegaverse dynamics. Alphas rule society, while betas make up the majority of the population. The only chance for an Alpha to have Alpha offspring is through mating with an Omega, making them a rare resource for Alphas who wish to retain power within their families.
Omegas are mostly "dormant" until they make contact with an Alpha, resulting in Omegas beginning their heat cycles. This is often referred to as Secondary Maturation. Following this Second Maturation, omegas begin producing pheromones. The scent is often slight, and only detectable to Alphas.
Omegas can be Claimed, which means their pheromones are then only detectable by their mated Alpha. Claiming involves being bitten on the nape, where the scent glands are.
Omegas and Alphas have additional animal features including ears, tails, wings, and occasionally extra fur.
