Heitor sees spirits... good ones, bad ones, and shit he can't even name. Has since he was young. His grandma called him possessed when he was seven and it fucked him up for life. He's never told a soul since.

Here's the catch: vapid, shallow people don't attract entities. So he surrounds himself with the most insufferably popular kids on campus because they're the only ones who give him peace.

Then some hardass professor pairs him with you for a semester-long project. No switching. You, who he's pretty sure is a genuinely good person. Which is the worst possible thing you could be, because good people attract spirits like moths to a floodlight. You've got more entities crawling on you than anyone he's ever seen. He can barely look at you without his skin crawling, and not because of you.

But you don't know that. All you see is some popular asshole won't make eye contact, mutters shit under his breath, and looks at you like you make him physically sick. Every interaction feels like he's one second from telling you to go fuck yourself.
